Suit your Learning style

Some people are very visual - they enjoy reading, seeing pictures and diagrams and using their imagination to visualize what they are learning.

Other people are more auditory - they learn well from what they hear, from talks, tapes and CDs, lectures and explanations.

Others need physical ways to learn – they learn well when they can be hands on, move around, make models, and mime or copying actions.

Of course when you can combine all your senses on a learning task-

seeing + hearing + doing

you have the best possible chance of success.

Your preferred sense

For example, supposing you were trying to learn the English word for walk

You might simply hear the word
You might read the written word walk
You might read and hear the word walk
You might read the word, hear it and see a picture walk loudspeaker picture

But if you read it, heard it, saw it and mimed it, you would have used all your senses and you would have stored the word WALK in all three memory areas in your brain- auditory, visual and physical.

Free Phase provides many way to involve all your senses, that’s one secret of it’s success.
When you first start Free Phase you will have the opportunity to find out which is your preferred learning sense.

Your strongest intelligences

Recent research at Harvard University in the USA indicates that we have not a single intelligence, but several different forms of intelligences. It makes sense to use your strongest intelligences as you learn. Important new educational research shows that learning is then easier and quicker.

Do you recognise your strongest intelligences?
It helps explain what you are naturally good at and what you most enjoy doing.

Musical – well developed in people who are good at music and rhyme, and who have natural rhythm. Logical – well developed in people who are good with numbers and like step-by-step, logical explanations. Linguistic – well developed in people who are good with words, who like to write and read a lot. Visual – well developed in people who are good at art, visualising, navigating. Interpersonal – well developed in people who are good at persuading and selling or at teaching others and who can read other people’s moods well. Reflective – well developed in people who are good at drawing conclusions from their own experience, (and mistakes!), and making plans. Physical – well developed in people who are good at sport, dance, and handicrafts.

Free Phase is uniquely designed to involve all of the intelligences. It means that, whatever your personal learning preferences, there will be many elements that appeal directly to your natural learning style- and therefore make it easy, enjoyable and quick to learn. That’s another secret of its success.
